“While we were living in Durham, England we quickly became fans of Linda Vine's work. We bought prints and cards and knew that before we moved away we wanted to invest in one of her originals. When it came time we had the thought to have Linda paint a scene that felt special and unique to our time living in the Northeast. We decided on a view from one of our favorite and most frequently visited spots - the Lake District. The particular picture we had in mind was along a walk that we would take every time we visited. We ended up visiting the Lakes in every season of the year, and Autumn was our favorite. So, Linda even transformed the image we sent her to be as though it had been taken in that season.
